Skip already-filled vs force regenerate

What it is

When you run a Bulk or 1-Click generation, AISA can either leave existing values alone or overwrite them. "Skip already-filled fields" protects SEO you already have (including values you wrote by hand); "Force regenerate" rewrites everything with fresh, different values.

Where to find it

In AISA → Bulk SEO & GEO the "Skip already-filled fields" checkbox is in the action bar (on by default). In AISA → 1-Click SEO the equivalent is the "Force new generation" toggle (off by default, except when the whole site is already complete, where it is the only useful action).

Requirements & tier

Both behaviours are part of the mass-generation tools (Premium / Cloud). A backup is offered before overwriting, available to administrators ("Backup SEO" in Utility). Forcing regeneration is also what "Regenerate everything" does in 1-Click when nothing is missing.

How to use

Decide your intent: fill gaps only, or refresh everything.
To fill gaps, keep Skip already-filled fields checked (Bulk) / leave Force new generation off (1-Click). Existing SEO is not touched.
To refresh, uncheck Skip (Bulk) / turn on Force (1-Click). AISA will overwrite the selected fields with different values.
When overwriting, accept the offered backup so you can restore the previous state if needed.
Run, and check the final report for what was generated versus skipped ("already complete").

Questions people ask

Will skip protect manual SEO? Yes — with skip on, AISA never overwrites a field that already has a value.
What does force overwrite exactly? The selected fields (title, description, AI Context, etc.) on every selected item, with new values different from the previous ones.
Can I undo a force run? Yes — take the offered SEO backup first, then Restore from Utility returns the site to how it was (it even restores fields that were empty).
Why is Force already on when my site is complete? If nothing is missing, the only useful action is regeneration, so 1-Click pre-enables it.
Does force consume more? Yes, it processes every item rather than only the incomplete ones, so it costs more credits/tokens.
Does a fix action create a revision? Yes — each modified post creates a WordPress revision, so you can step back one from "Revisions".

Troubleshooting

If a run reports many items as "already complete", skip is doing its job — switch to force if you intended a refresh. If you overwrote without a backup, check post Revisions to step back individual posts. If the backup button is missing, you may lack the manage-options capability required to create backups.
