Product Image SEO Template
What it is
For images that belong to a WooCommerce product (featured, gallery or attached), AISA can prepend the real catalog product name to the AI-generated Vision description, using an Image SEO Template. You compose it from two pills: %%product%% (the exact catalog name, never translated) and %%alt%% (the AI description). Example output: Maestrale — blue acoustic panel in a meeting room. An empty template means it is off (normal alt-text).
Where to find it
AISA → SEO Schema Template, inside the template editor: the Image SEO Template (product image ALT) field, under the title builder. Click a pill to insert it. It applies to the slot used by products (usually the "Product" slot).
Requirements & tier
Requires WooCommerce and the SEO Schema Template module. The template must contain %%alt%% to be active. Image alt generation (Vision) supplies the %%alt%% part.
How to use
- Open SEO Schema Template and select the product slot.
- In the Image SEO Template field, click Product name and AI description to build the pattern (e.g.
%%product%% — %%alt%%). - Save the templates.
- Run image alt generation for the product (Bulk/1-Click).
- For each product image, AISA composes the alt as the template defines.
Questions people ask
- Which images count as a product's? Featured image, gallery images and attached images (parent product resolved automatically).
- Is the product name translated? No — the exact catalog title is used (Translation Fidelity).
- What if the name is already in the alt? AISA detects it and skips the prefix to avoid duplication.
- How do I disable it? Leave the field empty — images get normal alt-text.
- Does the field need
%%alt%%? Yes — without it the template is treated as off.
Troubleshooting
If the product name is not prepended, confirm the image actually belongs to a published product and that the template field contains %%alt%%. If you see the name twice, that is prevented automatically — check whether the Vision alt already contained it.
