GEO Radar / AI GEOmetrix: are you cited by AI?

What it is

GEO Radar (also called AI GEOmetrix) checks whether real AI engines mention your brand when people ask buying questions. Instead of simulating an engine, it generates the questions your customers would actually ask (discovery, comparison, price), poses them to live AI search engines, and measures: are you cited? At what rank? And crucially, who gets cited in your place — your competitors. The result is an AI Visibility Score, and the loop can then strengthen your llms.txt, FAQ and pages on the weak topics.

Where to find it

WordPress admin menu under the AISA section (GEO Radar / AI GEOmetrix), where you define your Target searches and run scans.

Requirements & tier

In Cloud, Perplexity (Sonar) is included with no extra keys — this is a Cloud exclusive. In BYOK you supply your own Perplexity key, or use OpenAI/Gemini with their search/grounding. A scan consumes noticeably more credits than a normal optimization, so the cost (about 10 credits per scan) is shown before you run it, with a confirmation modal.

How to use

  1. Open the GEO Radar / AI GEOmetrix page.
  2. Add Target searches in plain language (e.g. "web design agency near Milan, expert and reliable"), typing them or using "Propose with AI" to pre-fill from Brand Context, GBP and keyphrases.
  3. Each target expands into 2-3 real question variants that are actually tested.
  4. Review the estimated credit cost, confirm in the modal, and run the scan.
  5. Read the "question → cited yes/no → who instead" table and the score, then act on the fix suggestions (llms.txt, FAQ, Auto SEO Fix).

Questions people ask

  • Can it query ChatGPT or Copilot directly? Not the consumer apps; it queries the underlying engines (OpenAI with search, Perplexity Sonar; Bing's index also feeds Copilot).
  • How much does a scan cost? Roughly 10 credits in Cloud (depends on questions × engines), always shown before you run.
  • Does it show competitors? Yes — "who gets cited in your place" is the core insight.
  • Is it available in Free? A single manual scan acts as a teaser; scheduled scans and the fix loop are Premium/Cloud.
  • Is Sonar required? In Cloud it is included; in BYOK it is optional alongside OpenAI/Gemini.

Troubleshooting

If a scan does not run in BYOK, confirm a search-capable provider key is configured (Perplexity, or OpenAI/Gemini with search). Watch the credit estimate before confirming — scans cost more than normal optimizations. Keep target searches phrased as questions, not bare keywords, for realistic results.
