AISA 2.0 brings WordPress SEO inside AI assistants
With AISA SEO Commander, the Ingenium Project plugin exposes its tools over MCP and the WordPress Abilities API, and overhauls structured data, FAQs and business details
September 21, 2026
Piozzano, Italy, September 21, 2026 — Ingenium Project today announces AI SEO & GEO Assistant 2.0 (AISA), its SEO and GEO plugin for WordPress. With this release the plugin can be driven directly from an AI assistant: you connect the assistant to your own site and ask it, in plain language, to read and check the SEO of your pages — and, with the Premium component, to fix it.
The feature is called AISA SEO Commander and rests on two standards. The first is the Abilities API introduced in WordPress 6.9 core, the registry where every plugin declares what it can do. The second is the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the standard AI assistants use to connect to external services. The MCP server is built into the plugin, at /wp-json/aisa/v1/mcp: no additional plugin is needed and no third-party service sits in between. Access uses a WordPress application password, a secondary credential of the user that can be revoked at any time; every call goes through authentication and capabilities, so a connected assistant works with the same permissions as the user and not one more. The same tools are also registered with the Abilities API, and are therefore visible to any connector that reads that registry, including the official WordPress MCP Adapter.
There are thirteen tools, split by what they do. Five read, and are in the free plugin: the SEO status of a content item, the on-page audit, the llms.txt document, the Brand Context, and a diagnostics report of the configuration. A connected assistant can inspect and report on an entire site without changing anything. Eight write, and come with AISA Premium, the separate companion plugin: optimizing a page, fixing the failing audit checks, background batches with job status, the Brand Context, image alt text and title, checking and repairing internal links, and scanning visibility in AI answers. One switch in the plugin settings turns the whole feature off, and a constant in the site configuration file takes precedence over the panel.
The rest of 2.0
Structured data that coexists with your SEO plugin. With Yoast SEO, Rank Math or All in One SEO active, the AISA nodes join the SEO plugin's JSON-LD graph instead of adding a second block: FAQs become the page's FAQPage, while legal name, address, area served, contacts and service catalogue enrich the organization node by filling only the missing keys, never overwriting the user's own values.
FAQs with review and approval. Every question-and-answer pair now carries a status: only approved pairs reach the site, the schema and llms.txt. Answers that lack a fact are created empty, stating what is missing and linking to the field where it is entered — in place of the placeholders that could reach the public site in earlier versions. A deterministic check compares opening hours, phone numbers and country names against the configured business details, and bulk approval is available both from the active filter and from the list of sets.
Business details as structured fields. Legal name, VAT number, area served as a typed list and a list of services become real fields, with an Autofill with AI button that proposes them by reading the site's contact page and footer and asks for confirmation field by field before writing. A field left empty produces no key in the schema at all.
New checks, and a check on what engines actually receive. The audit and SEO Doctor gain nine deterministic checks — among them duplicate H1, brand name truncated in the title, a local page whose text never names the place, and generic alt text. The new Verify on the live page command downloads the page as visitors receive it and compares it with what AISA has saved.
Area served, model catalogue and error log. On the home page and on service pages, the title and description variants now name the configured area served, with a check afterwards that verifies they do. The AI model list and the price list update from the provider and from a remote catalogue, without waiting for a new plugin release. The error log for One-Click SEO and bulk operations records the provider, model, HTTP status and duration behind every error, and the final report tells apart contents recovered on a second attempt from those that failed.
In AISA Cloud the first FAQ set of a site costs 1 credit, and from the second one it returns to 5; the cost is always shown before the click.
"An AI assistant working on a production site should be treated like a collaborator, not like a shortcut: with its own credentials, limited permissions and a way back. That is the standard we built this release to — and it holds for the rest of 2.0 as well, where the rule is that if the plugin does not have a fact, it does not write one."
