Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Paolo Chiesa (sole proprietorship) — Ingenium Project, Via Campo Sportivo 3, 29010 Piozzano (PC), Italy, VAT IT01746710332 (“we”, the “data controller”) processes personal data through this website and in connection with the product AI SEO & GEO Assistant. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data we collect
- Contact & support. When you use our support or contact forms we collect your name, email address, request type and message, and optionally an order ID, licence key and any screenshots you choose to attach. Support tickets may also record your IP address and basic technical information.
- Purchases & licensing. Orders are handled by our payment provider Lemon Squeezy (see §3). We receive order and licence data (email, name, product, licence status); we do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we process your email address on the basis of your consent.
- Technical data. Server logs, IP address, browser/device information and cookies, used for the security and functioning of the site (see our Cookie Policy).
2. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing support and replying to your requests — performance of a contract and our legitimate interest.
- Processing orders, licences, invoices and refunds — performance of a contract and legal obligations (carried out through Lemon Squeezy).
- Sending the newsletter and marketing messages — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Security, abuse prevention and operation of the site — our legitimate interest.
3. Processors and third parties
We rely on trusted providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:
- Lemon Squeezy — our Merchant of Record and payment provider; handles checkout, payment, invoicing, taxes and refunds.
- Hosting provider — stores the website and its database, including support tickets.
- Email/newsletter provider — delivery of transactional and marketing emails.
Some providers may be located outside the EU/EEA (for example in the United States). Where that is the case, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. The Plugin and AI providers — your responsibility
When you install and use AI SEO & GEO Assistant on your own website, the content you choose to optimise is sent to the AI provider you configure (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, Perplexity, Mistral) using your own API key or, in Cloud plans, through our servers. For that processing on your site you are the data controller and are responsible for the lawful basis and for compliance with each provider’s terms. The Plugin does not send your website visitors’ personal data to us.
5. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
