Scheduled SEO regeneration (Scheduler)

What it is

The Scheduler keeps your SEO fresh automatically: every N days it regenerates the fields you choose — SEO base (keyphrase + title + description), AI Search Context (GEO), and/or an added rotation variant — optionally only on content modified since the last run. It runs unattended, with the page closed, via a loopback worker chain.

Where to find it

WordPress admin menu: AISA → Automation ("Scheduled SEO" / "Programmazione SEO"). It shows the next run, last run and any in-progress queue.

Requirements & tier

Scheduled regeneration is Premium-only, because it is an unattended automation that consumes AI. It requires the manage-options capability to configure, and a working provider/credits to generate. Image alt-text in the scheduler is noted as coming with the full background runner.

How to use

  1. Open AISA → Automation.
  2. Tick Enable scheduled regeneration and set the interval in days (7 = weekly, 30 = monthly).
  3. Choose what to regenerate: SEO base (overwrites with new values), AI Search Context, and/or "add a new rotation variant" (which adds a title+desc variant without touching the main value).
  4. Optionally keep Only contents modified since the last run on (recommended: less consumption, a freshness signal to Google).
  5. Press Save schedule. Use Run now (in background) to start a full run immediately without waiting for cron.

Questions people ask

  • Does it run with the browser closed? Yes — a recurring cron kicks off a loopback worker chain that processes the queue unattended.
  • Will SEO base overwrite my values? Yes, the SEO base option regenerates and overwrites title/description/keyphrase with new values; choose "only modified" to limit scope.
  • What does the rotation-variant option do? It adds a new title+description rotation variant without changing the main value.
  • Why is "only modified" recommended? It regenerates only what changed since the last run, saving credits/tokens and signalling freshness.
  • Can I trigger it manually? Yes — "Run now" starts a full background run with the saved options (it consumes credits/tokens).
  • Does it handle image alt-text? Not yet in the scheduler — that arrives with the complete background runner.

Troubleshooting

If the options are disabled, you are not on Premium — scheduled regeneration is Premium-only. If no run is scheduled, make sure Enable is checked and saved (the "next run" line confirms it). If "Run now" is unavailable, a run may already be in progress (queue shown). If runs don't fire, your host's cron/loopback may be restricted; "Run now" still works on demand. Each run consumes AI, so review the "only modified" option to control cost.

Note on speed: Processing time depends on two things: your AI provider's response speed and the server where the plugin runs (PHP workers, memory and hosting). A slow provider or a constrained host makes large batches take longer — use AISA Turbo and run in the background to mitigate it.
