The SEO score badge and admin column

What it is

The SEO score is a 0–100 number showing the percentage of Auto SEO Fix checks a post passes. It surfaces as a coloured badge in a "SEO & GEO" column in your post lists, so you can spot weak pages at a glance before opening them. The bands are: red 0–39 (poor), orange 40–59 (medium), blue 60–79 (medium-high), and a green star ★ for 80–100 (optimal). Hovering shows the score, the band word, and how many checks need fixing.

The score is cached per post (about 12 hours) and is tied to the detected SEO plugin — switching between Yoast, Rank Math and standalone changes the thresholds, so the score recalculates. It's invalidated automatically whenever you save the post.

Where to find it

The badge appears in the "SEO & GEO" column placed right after the Title column in the post/page list (edit.php) for every enabled post type. Clicking the badge opens the post's editor, where the same score and full check list live in the "🩺 Auto SEO Fix" meta box.

Requirements & tier

The score and column are available to everyone — they're computed from the independent PHP audit and don't require Premium (only the AI fixes do). No external calls are made. To keep large list screens fast, AISA computes at most a handful of fresh (uncached) scores per page load; rows beyond that show a "…" placeholder and fill in on the next load. Cached rows cost nothing.

How to use

Go to Posts or Pages (or any enabled post type list).
Find the "SEO & GEO" column next to the title.
Read the badge colour: red/orange/blue dots or a green star, with the numeric score beside it.
Hover to see the band and the number of checks to fix.
Click the badge to jump straight into that post's Auto SEO Fix box.
After editing and saving, the cached score refreshes automatically.

Questions people ask

What does the score actually measure? The percentage of Auto SEO Fix checks the post passes.
Why did my score change after switching SEO plugins? Thresholds follow the active plugin (e.g. word-count minimums differ), so the score is recalculated.
What do the colours mean? Red 0–39, orange 40–59, blue 60–79, green star 80–100.
Why do some rows show "…"? A performance cap computes only a few fresh scores per page load; those rows calculate on the next refresh.

Troubleshooting

A "—" means the score isn't calculable (e.g. no adapter/post data). Persistent "…" placeholders just mean the fresh-calculation budget was used — reload the list to let them compute. If a score looks stale, save the post to flush its cache, or note that it expires on its own after ~12 hours. If the column is missing, confirm the post type is enabled in AISA settings.
